JG does seem to be a big fan of x-country, he won the English x-c one year beating the likes of dave moorcroft and Steve jones.

Ok daft question- is cadence measured with every footfall, or every other one (eg you just count your right foot, not right and left)? And surely the cadence will vary with speed? So how do you know what your "natural" cadence is?

Sunny morning for a short run. I think it's going to take loads of practise. He recommends running twice a day for at least 3 days a week, one of them is just a recovery run of 20 to 30 mins working on form. No sure I want to run that often, what do others think.

At the moment I struggle to fit in running once a day 4-5 times a week, so twice a day is just not going to be happening
So, is that a longer run three days a week and then a short recovery run later in the day? What does he say you should do on the other days?
