Yeah, the north coast from here west all the way to Llandudno seemed to be one long beach with nobody to speak of on it (in July). It's obvious why several resorts grew in times before international air travel.

One of the pleasures is looking at the map to see not only where the picture is, but also the strange place names in the area.

Today I like Fingringhoe and Brightlingsea .
