I also have envy. Beautiful.
I ran the start of that route from Argentiere back in June. Looked a little different

It is heaven. I run in all conditions here but as the snow from a couple of weeks ago disappears the trails get better and better. They are in their trickiest, icy, stage at the moment but another week of sun will turn them into ‘spring’ for a while.

This was after the last dump of snow - it’s all gone now.

Just realised we had Bradgate Park yesterday. I did some orienteering around there a couple of years ago (it used Swithland Wood to the north too). A fantastic area for a run.

I missed that too, Oranj - thanks for pointing it out! I agree, fantastic place for running.

It is a lovely place to go running. It’s been a few years since I’ve been there. Will have to revisit soon.

Oranj, the Charnwood Hills fell race goes about 13 miles through Bradgate and up to Beacon Hill, if you haven't done it then i'd really recommend it. My avatar is from that race, in 2005, descending from Old John which is the tower in theotherrichard's photo.

Thanks for the tip Chrisity. I can see it's popular, with a ballot entry. Something to bookmark for 2020!
