ooh it's been a while since Mr Fetch used one of my pics ![]() it was a really dramatic sky - no filters used in the pic, that's how it actually was. but if memory serves me right I don't think it actually rained in the end. And the sea was bizarrely calm. |

Gordon, you didn't run to the end..... :-O. Although since running any distance in Whitby requires rapid ascents, I suspect you needed the energy!

no, not for the run but the pic was taken at the end of the run and I'm pretty sure I did walk to the end! And if anyone finds themselves running (or, better still, cycling) in Whitby I would highly recommend something called the Cinder Track - a disused rail line that runs along the coast. Ooh yes - I've walked a long chunk of the Cinder Track on a return from a cliff top walk. Stunning views along the cliff, good pub nearby the track on the return legs, and fish and chips from the Magpie before driving home. ![]() Well worth a visit.
