Done a stupid 100 books thing. I’d read 87. One of the ones I haven’t read is the Da Vicini code. Another is Mitch Albom The Five People You Meet In Heaven - I’m ignoring former but I reckon I can have a go at latter for 2003

My only rule was that it had to be a book I hadn’t read before

Good work HB - a nice varied list there. Any stand-out favourites?

Nicely done! McG beat me to it with the question, I've got gaps to fill in 90's & 00's.

The 80’s were a bit hit and miss - I really didn’t get on with Modern Baptists or A Confederacy of Dunces. I found Nick Hornby boring, but then I don’t like football and Jeffrey archer was, well, Jeffrey Archer.
I enjoyed Ken Follett more than expected, also Birdsong and loved The Absolutist.

It’s the same author as The Boy in The striped Pyjamas and similar material, but more grown up
