Good attack by Yates. Gobi has Yates as well... I sense a pattern.

What a ride from Simon Yates, looked effortless.

Watched the highlights yesterday and agree Yates looked great.
Inrng tipping Meersman for today again, obviously a mistake not to pick now, thought I was being clever picking Stybar and expecting attacks on hilly transition stages. *rolls eyes*

SPR - me too on Stybar. I don't think we were too dumb, Stybar is generally up with Meersman in those stages as a sort of lead out/insurance policy before dropping back in the last 500m, I've noticed. Etixx Quickstep have been quite smart in delivering several riders together into the last km, and they must all be working for Meersman.

Stybar is part of the leadout and I don't think he's the last man either.

Well, Gobi top of the league, and can't see that changing too soon, looks like a very solid team.
LL Sanchez is helping me close the gap if not to actually move up any places. Like Sanchez's attitude at the mo, he's up at the end of these hilly stages looking to pick up any scraps, commentators seemed to think prior to the last days he was ready to be put out to grass, expressing complete shock when he turned up 2 days to grab 4th!

I'm only 10 points behind but share lots of riders with Gobi. Contador and Valverde vs Froome and Yates. Long term I lose, but short term I might nose ahead.

I'm not sure you lose long-term. Assuming it's true that Contador was dehydrated on the last stage (and there's some evidence it is), then Contador and Yates should be better to last the full three weeks with Contador likely to be stronger, Froome and Valverde have the Tour in their legs, Valverde has the Giro as well! Both may falter in the last week.
With Lopez out (Astana's GC pick), LLS now has free rein
