Gogsy!
Hi Chrisity/Rb ... haven't seen a fizz yet but will probably have to. Latest pull is not as bad as the original one but I thought I'd done all the right things with rest, ice, massage & stretching etc. However, I probably upped my work rate too quickly. There wasn't the slightest twinge on Tuesday or Thursday but it's pretty obvious I must have done too much too quickly. Resigned to the fact that I won't be running for at least 3 weeks.

Gogsy, i had problems last year with a tight calf and it just wouldn't settle properly with rest, icing etc.In the end it ruptured 70% and i was out for ages, i had a knot in my calf that caused the problem i thought was just tightness. It's definately worth getting it checked out.

Cheers RB - a little voice at the back of my mind was telling me to get this looked at a few weeks ago but I stupidly ignored it. The first tear was quite nasty - fairly extensive bruising & I could hardly walk for about 3 weeks. However after daily massage & 4 weeks of stretching the calf felt in great shape - not the slightest knot anywhere. I can imagine what you're thinking ... typical pig-headed male! (& you're spot on BTW)
