I'm staying at the Novotel closest to the centre , not sure which district it's in but decided to be general centre rather than close to the start or the finish :-)

We've booked a suburbs cottage in Maisons Fillettes - a 20 min train ride out of Paris. We're there for almost a week and wanted somewhere to relax, as well as somewhere close enough to the city life. Jeez - I sound like a brochure.
Anyway, I might regret it for a wee while on race day but it'll be fine.

When I did the Paris marathon a couple of years ago, we used Housetrip.com to book a huge apartment for 5 of us just of the Champs Elysees near the start. It cost about £60 each per night, which was far cheaper than the hotels around there. It was great!

Thanks forthe info guys. My wife and I are only there for 2 nights so housetrip.com option sounds quite good, will look into it. The out of town cottage sounds great too - enjoy!!

My friend and I used airnb.com to book an apartment, it seems to be near the Eiffel tower. Very good price!!
