Indeed I should, but having gone through the mail pile only located an older one (yes, that's how assiduous i am regarding the mail).

It is this fluid which requires the use-by-date, since beyond that date the fluid's efficacy decreases meaning that less blood than was actually there at the time of taking the sample is detected, and so give a false result. alphalabs.co.uk

I lay the holder on its side while sampling. Maybe it’s designed in such a way that wouldn’t happen, but I could easily have held it upside down.
