Dentist on the 3rd, Blood on the 10th.... logically I should try to keep the medical-health-related sequence up on the 17th with something!

I got a text from my GP practice last week inviting me to book in for a flu jab. I rang them and was then on hold on the phone for almost 40 mins, 7th in the queue for what seemed like most of it. But I stuck with it, because a nice lady told me many, many times that my call was very important to them.

Anyway, 10:30 this coming Saturday for me. OH is over 65, so he got invited and had his done several weeks ago, and got the longer-term pneumonia one too.

Liebling is being flu-stabbed on Saturday - she got invited due to her medical history. She also got another text inviting her due to her venerable age.

I'd heard nowt so I phoned them - I think they have some out of date mobile details. They've got enough jabs for this Saturday, but are awaiting more for the following Sat so I have to ring back and enter the being held in a queue lottery.

I was invited (by text) to contact my GP about a flu jab yesterday, but I've already got the one booked today at work.

My work ones aren't happening - they were supposed to be from Bupa - who then said at the last min that they didn't have any jabs as 'they'd all gone to the NHS'. Last year - I might have mentioned it on this thread - the Bupa nurse used up three jabs on me as she kept dropping them on the floor and had to get a new one out of her bag.

Yeah, after she'd gone 'oops, butterfingers' with two jabs I wasn't entirely sure she was going to find my arm with the third.

I'm back.  Off all the needles I've had stuck in me over the years that was far and away the least noticable.  The bloke seemed quite upset when I said "are you sure?" after he told me it was done.
