To call back:
"Number 14
The sinister pressure cooker. We were terrified of it. A bomb in every kitchen."
Also had a Number 20. It's probably still somewhere. Two paraffin heaters: one for the bathroom, one for the hall. Valor, I would think. Or was it Aladdin? Maybe one of each.

I’ve had piles in the past and pork chops the other night but not at the same time that I can remember. Still, there’s time yet 🙄

We still have Liebling's pressure cooker. I use it to steam puddings but I never dare put the weight thing on the top because it sounds like an explosion is even more imminent.

I have and still use the pressure cooker that was a wedding present 28 years ago - they're not scary! I do fancy the Foodi Ninja thingy though

Pressure cookers scare the living bejazus out of me. We’ve got 2, one is c.1967 and the other mid-70s. Gifts from well-meaning parents; they both live in the loft.

I thought it was that sitting on cold stone walls gives you ham ends. Or maybe it was pigs' cheeks?
(Actually ref Glenn a couple of days ago, was it not worms rather than piles?)
