Morning fellow oldies.😉 Thanks for the welcome and the birthday wishes.
Oddly, I don’t feel any older than I did before turning 50, and I’m pretty sure that I’m fitter and healthier than I was when I turned 39 (I’d started running by 40).

I was fitter at 40 than I was at 30 and fitter still at 50. All my (mediocre) PBs were achieved in my 50s. Lots of sunlit uplands ahead Nellers 😀

Yes indeed, & the story is the same for me - 55 me could comfortably beat 50 me, and even 50 me could humiliate 39 year old me embarrassingly.

I think my running PBs are behind me to be honest, but that's more because of the achilles than lack of fitness/motivation. In terms of cardio health, strength, endurance etc I know I'm in a much better state than I was, and my diet is better most days, although yesterday involved significant percentages of the three major food groups: Beer, Pizza and Cake.
