Just caught up with about 2000 posts on here as I've been away AT THE CLOSING CEREMONY!!!!!!!! I know not everyone liked it but, honestly, being there was an absolutely incredble experience. I even let my guard down for a moment and cheered the Spice Girls! Personally, I thought Emile Sande was incredible and the staging and light show was amazing. There was so much going on that you probably didn't see on the TV and although some of the singing was a bit dodgy, compared to Paul McCartney (I can't bring myself to call him 'Macca' as it implies some kind of affection), everyone was great - when is he going to be pensioned off? I've got this empty feeling now........roll on the para's which hopefully will be just as awesome |

Love the one from Kabul. Hell of a parade for the French by the looks of things as well.

They're all lovely photos, just goes to show that even if you "only" win a bronze you're still going to be a hero to someone I may have saved the picture of the French pole-vaulter *blush* |
