To get into Wembley you had to have proof of a negative lateral flow test in the previous 48 hrs. There was no such requirement when attending church before restrictions were lifted. The precautions were to limit numbers, have socially distanced seating, wear face masks, and to have no singing.

You are correct about the high risk groups, especially the elderly NDW. Our church, like many others, started online services which is fine for the majority of people to access. Many elderly people though are not so au fait with “tech” and so had no access to services unless they could attend in person. I think that our church had a limit of thirty (pre-booked) seats available during restrictions.
