Goodness, so much

Having the house to myself
Samba
Being able to just pop out for something I forgot

The school run - missing catching up at the end of the day
Seeing my patients instead of phoning them, or no contact at all
Mooching about aimlessly

Just going out the gate for a wander - nothing much, five or ten minute leg stretch. And in practical terms, I reckon still I could and no-one would actually give a flying fuck. But still … (I did go over to the park, all of 170m away, on an "extra" on Saturday - and I felt pretty tense. I hadn't even been out that day.)

And the pub - had a virtual pub quiz with a mate tonight.

I'm not missing too much.

I'm fortunate in that I get to go to work for a few days every couple of weeks and the job is different to normal, with less accountability/pressure.
I am missing seeing all the pupils and staff though, but that's not unbearable - I'm used to the idea that I'll not see them again after July anyway.

I like being at home and Mr GM is here too all the time :) so I have company. I'm missing my dad being able to pop round for coffee at 10am 2 or 3 times a week.

I've only had to go to the supermarket once so far and I'm not "popping to the shop" like I used to, but this is a good thing as I'm saving money. But we can't go to the garden centre or B&Q so can't get on with any of the jobs we have planned. They'll wait though - we've lived here for 17 years and managed ok without another patio and set of garden furniture.

So what am I really missing?
I am missing weekends away and holidays and the freedom to be able to travel where we want - we've taken that for granted a bit since getting the motorhome teary 3 years ago. That includes trips to see Alice the Camel. I always miss her madly, but it seems harder this year as we had 2 meet ups planned for May and they are both cancelled and I've not seen her since December.

Being able to visit my parents, including celebrating my mum’s 80th.

Runs with friends. Runs from anywhere but home.

Variety in work - my emails seem like one long deja vue.

Live concerts.

Making plans.

Dvorak, there is no reason not to go out for a leg stretch, you’re encouraged to exercise (unless you’re one of the exceptions).
