does look a bit better. I need to run some of my local training loops so I can compare against previous F3 tracks. That'll have to wait a few days...

I ran Milton Parkrun this morning (in what might have been a course worst) wearing my F3 and an Ambit 2. Ambit said 3.07, F3 said 2.98. That is actually a sizeable improvement from 2.89, and you can see places where the track is better, but it's still right at the low end of tracks for here, even if fully half the recordings I have are shorter than 3.11. Better, but still not up with the best on what is admittedly a really tough course for GPS.

I've added the tracks from those to the link in my last post

What was your take on the not-quite-110k, flanker?

Not too bad as it came out at 66.6, and measured longer than K's 910 for the route (68.4M = 110k, but unlikely the course was that accurate anyway. It was mountain trail.

This is more impressive since I switched it to Ultratrac half way through when I decided I CBA to charge it :-)

Good result if you don't mean 3.11k!

Just have to say, love my Fenix 3. It does all I will ever need and much more. I've found the GPS acquisition to be very swift in comparison to the old Garmins I've had and, the GPS mapping / pace seems to be pretty accurate too. All-in-all, a great all round sports watch and well worth the hefty price tag.

Be warned that 4.30 will trash your sport settings badly enough you'll need a factory reset to fix things. (Seriously. Couldn't restore Hike any other way).
Don't install it if you need the watch in the next couple of hours, back up your settings first so you can restore things like your screens.

Thanks for the warning, although I haven't been offered it yet.

I had the same issue with an earlier release. At one point I couldn't even get the watch to fire up at all - thought it had bricked it. In the end I got it going but had to delete all the app profiles and reinstall/recreate. PITA.

Seriously hate my Fenix2 for OW swimming. Biking and running are fine but swimming element is doing ma heid in! Wish I had stuck to my 910xt
