15454 words so far. Story was going down a bit of a cul de sac so had to raise the body count :-)

A crime of passion has now turned into the first of a serial killing :-)

I really am making this up as I go along !

I have only written about 7 days so far, story started on a Friday, it's now the following friday, so much has happened in a week. I think when it comes to the editing in December I may have to pad the time lines out a bit.

Editing in December? What's that about? I thought we just splurged out drivel for a month and then went back to being human beings in December.

Don't feel bad M4P - we know you're at home and have time. The real touigh challenge is doing a full time job and managing to get to 50,000 words. But well done to you. It does take over a bit when you get some inertia behind it.

I have been told that it's best NOT to get to the end of a critical bit when you need a break. Always leave a loose end of a conversation to finish. That makes it easier to pick up again.

I'm finding target-obsession. As each thousand approached I keep recounting. It's not healthy.

BEGINS 1st of NOVEMBER, ENDS 30th of NOVEMBER!

Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved.
Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It's all about quantity, not quality. The kamikaze approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly.
Make no mistake: You will be writing a lot of crap. And that's a good thing. By forcing yourself to write so intensely, you are giving yourself permission to make mistakes. To forgo the endless tweaking and editing and just create. To build without tearing down....
