That is how my tomorrow will start. The chimney sweep is coming at 7.30 a.m., and the boiler will have to be cold for him.

Car failed, needs exhaust and number plate bulb. Not as bad as I feared.

Not too bad. Ours passed yesterday (after the guy had taped up a tube somewhere) but it has advisorys worth about a grand, so we need to update. We've had it for 13.5 years so can't complain, but it's not worth spending any more on. Hate spending money on cars though.

Good afternoon mundanites. A day in Inverness for me. Coffee with friend. Main purpose was osteo (torture) appt. I was also returning/exchanging Xmas gifts which ended up costing a fortune. I also bought some trail shoes. I've been 'not a runner' for so long I still have white road shoes - yes white, remember those. Not that they are currently white as we like muddy trails :)

I need to buy new road shoes, they are too tight unless it's so cold my feet shrink

I also need to buy new merino stuff as mine have big holes in them
And I need to buy non-running clothes as lots of those are falling apart.

Maybe I should go to somewhere with some big shops and spend a couple of hours shopping ? Sounds horrid though unless it's book or art equipment shopping!

I put a pot roast chicken in the oven, it'll be ready at 7.30 and can wait for Mr fleecy to get home. Must do rice for it in a while

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
