There's a plastic mesh screwed across all our guttering which you can't get under, so the sludge and moss underneath can't be cleared. I know that this sludge is where the weeds have their roots, so although I've cleaned off the top growth, I can't remove them entirely and they will regrow. Really, this makes my efforts this morning a bit of a waste of time. The garage is the only bit of guttering I can reach; our ladders are too short and our house too tall to be able to do the roofline guttering. I hanker after hiring a cherry-picker.
