Just got in for a drink... On my way through the garden to the house I have realised I have created at least three bonfires 😱😱😱

The biblical rain never materialised here today, it seemed to stay on the Isle of Wight and east.
I seem to have about half a dozen itchy insect bites around my left knee. I think a bitey bugger must have got me in the night.

I hope you don't have the experience of my DiL AR - she was bitten 14 times overnight on Wednesday night. By Friday morning she was in A&E having fainted in Boots when she went to get antihistamine cream for her massively swollen legs (She was given steroid cream and anti-b's at the hospital, but told not to take the a-b's.)

Oo-er LD! No, I swear by Piriton to stop my bites itching. Hopefully I'll last until bedtime before my next dose.

FaceTimed my parents. They claimed to have no news and then spent 10 minutes telling me about the street party they attended yesterday.

I'm bitten to buggery. Unfortunately I don't tolerate antihistamines well apart from prescription only ones and I'm out of those. I get shit faced on everything (even non drowsy) apart from fexofenadine. I can manage 72 hours of those before going batshit. Cedd has problems with antihistamines too - they make his tic disorder go completely bonkers.

I'm also unable to tolerate antihistamines other than fexofenadine. My mother can neck 720mg of fexofenadine plus half a dozen Piriton tablets a day and not turn a hair, but I go to sleep if you take a cetirizine out of its packet while I'm in the same room.

My junior sent me home a couple of years ago when I'd had some cetirizine. She wasn't entirely sure I was competent to lead the service she worked in and thought it best for all concerned that I didn't seem drunk at work.

Fellmouse went right off her rocker from 10mg of promethazine. I mean, she was already off her rocker and the promethazine had been prescribed for sedation, but she got paradoxical agitation and went absolutely raving bonkers. Poor eL Bee! spent an entire night getting her to put her clothes back on and come down off the ceiling.

Never used cetirizine but piriton and fexofenadine do not make drowsy at all.
