One of my landladies was a hand model - she did the sanitary towel advert where they poured blue liquid down the centre of the pad. It was really tricky to do as she had to put her hands through slots in glass so only they showed. It took several takes and one of the cameramen told her afterwards he took his whole family to the Caribbean on the overtime I always felt a bit sorry for her that all other parts of her body were considered inadequate and only her hands made the cut
