I like jelly but on the rare occasions I make trifle its with day old cake soaked in juice or stronger, raspberries, custard and double cream. Better a day later too

Trifle is ace. Last time I made one it had peaches old cake...brandy, custard, jelly, cream almonds.

Cat has got into the butter as I left it on the counter. There wasn’t much but I still resent it particularly as she will no doubt chuck it up later
