Gnocchi with whatever I could find in the fridge. The end of the guttering was fixed but has come off again so the trug is full again already. I need to do lots of laundry but the decorator has pulled the machine out, plus the water is off again

Opticians rang to say they patched ds2’s brown glasses up after ds1 sat on his head the other day and broke them. The brown glasses I just got fixed after his friend bent them in a tussle. Ds2 is currently wearing his blue glasses which vanished and then appeared in his school bag a week later. I wonder what proportion of my time I spend under his bed looking for his glasses, searching for them round the house, getting them fixed or ordering new ones? It seems to take up an inordinate amount of brain space.

Pretty sure I couldn’t rely on ds2 to not lose contact lenses Maz! Or to clean them. He has weird eyes, he can see ok without glasses actually which is why he loses them so often, but he has finally started wearing them more because he’s realised the impact on his lazy eye.
Off to catch a train, luckily it’s stopped raining
