Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Coffee. Opened door for cat. The look she gave me suggests it was a dubious favour: a litter tray would be kinder

Second coffee and contemplating the washing up.

I'd have thought that a conservatory was a bit noisy today though.

D wants us to take her to the station so she can go to Guildford and see her boyfriend. We don’t want her to go out.

5 miles out with a tailwind was very pleasant. The same 5 miles back into the howling hoolie were a bit more challenging.

At the hairdresser. The guy cutting my hair is worried because he has to do highlights on a 15 year old. Her mum is here, though, so that’s OK. He was mainly concerned about being rung by an angry parent later.

Power cut. Hopefully it is temporary...

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
