Reindeer herding programme on BBC4 - no spoken commentary; just some sparsely distributed on-screen details. Songs & music of the Sami people are eerie & captivating.

Dogs used are often border collie crosses, and travel on the skidoos when not herding.
The reindeers swim 800m to their island pasture.

[prob not mundane - highly recommended viewing.]

I think I saw that before switts, it reminded me of that bus ride of 2 hours across Yorkshire, or somewhere up north.

It was broadcast on Christmas Eve last year and advertised as 'Slow Christmas'. I found it fascinating and restful too. :)

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
