LazyDaisy Apr 2018 4:38pm, 12 Apr 2018 22,101 posts	0 LazyDaisy In the early years of our marriage we used to leave the house messy when we went away on holiday, but then one time we had a nightmare journey back from the airport (car broke down on the M23 just out of Gatwick, OH went into full 'end of the world is nigh' mode instead of staying calm etc etc). Getting back to a shit-heap house was just the last straw; from then on, even if it's just a weekend at the seaside house, I always leave the place clean and tidy.
