I agree WS, not worth the investment in much of the UK as it's such a rare occurence. A bit like not having domestic "air conditioning" for the few days required in a typical British summer.

Well, that escalated quickly - went to Next as OH wanted new t-shirts & trousers, and I ended up buying 2 pairs of jeans, a shirt and a dress.

Written report and sent it. This seems to have created a shit storm. My work here is done.

30 minutes on the phone to Customer Services; the Technical Director was eventually tracked down to speak to me. At least now I have a name and email address to bombard, and they can no longer claim they 'were completely unaware of the problem'.

Now for the next round of phone calls.

I have a letter to post, but for now I’m enjoying watching the swans on the lake near ds1’s violin lesson. I’m glad I don’t live near here, it’s quite pretty but noisy

In a chair, cup of tea, Tipping Point on the telly - home from home. :)

I have dirt under my fingernails from 2 hours weeding the allotment. Satisfying amount of mind and bindweed extracted from my raspberries though still lots more to do. A kindly neighbour helped me pull my shed off the brook, but it’s not going to stand up for very long. I might just take a sledgehammer to it, take it apart and keep my bits and bobs at home instead.

Mint not mind. Though weeding is nice and brainless.

The evenings are drawing out, it feels so springy :)

I thought I'd just have a look at tops, but found jeans that actually go over my thighs and arse, but actually fit my waist as well! 😛

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
