Thank you for the link, Rosie. But if dicentras are attractive to slugs I won't bother. I don't think genuflect is a transitive verb. |

Well if they’re both acceptably pious then that’s ok, McG I need to go to bed. First I have to heat up my pathetically small lavender wheat sachet thing, I must buy a proper hot water bottle. |

Dicentras are herbaceous perennials - they grow like weeds in our garden - Raffo says they're not bothered by slugs (and we get LOTS of slugs). I call them bleeding hearts but think they're also known as Dutchman's trousers! They're surpisingly hardy for something so very pretty |

There seem to be several different kinds; perhaps slugs like some kinds better than others. Just realized we have a Rosehip as well as an Alpenrose so calling AR Rosie may lead to confusion so will revert to AR. |
