What recommendations for viewing do you have then?
I know YouTube is your friend but rather than aimlessly clicking what can you suggest?

Not sure what sort of thing you’re looking for Pix but I watched a film about Geraint Thomas’s experience during the Tour de France recently. I think it might still be accessible from bbc iPlayer. That’s interesting...

I went looking for some outdoor films during lockdown - I needed to see some open spaces!

Hiking / Outdoor films - ideas and links. I think many are free, but a few are only a few minutes long:
greenbelly.co
outdoorresearch.com

Red Bull sponsor a lot of events, and they have a collection of films; from skiing and cycling to mountain climbing and high diving..
redbull.com
(They also have an app so you can watch on smart TVs)

I found the Lance Armstrong documentary really interesting and might be motivational (??) - still on iPlayer I think.

Or if you want something more accessible and enjoy a nice countryside walk then I can recommend these: bbc.co.uk

The most awe-inspiring video linked to from here podiumrunner.com is Zach Miller's effort at the end of a 50 mile trail race. He seems to be running at 95%+ maxHR for the last several miles. His effprt and breathing are what I'd expect from a 5 km race. Truly amazing. I've watched it several times. Some of the filming was by Jamil Coury, one of this year's Barkley entrants.

Closing Distance is a video from 2005 about the West Highland Way race. It's a very special event, and a nice video. There are loads of great entrant videos too, if you are interested I can put some links in too! :-) G
