Does pak choi grow quickly and easily here? It's one of those expensive things I can imagine being worth growing.

I have my Pak Choi seeds. I also got two free cakes and two free coffees because my birthday treat was still valid. Decent half hour out.

As a runner (rather than triathlete (for now)) I have more time at weekends
So thinking I may do more next year especially as there were times when some salad veg was hard to come by
What can I do over autumn winter to improve soil in my raised bed?

I collect fallen leaves over the autumn, make leaf mold each year, and add that to the soil.

Good tip Did you collect from elsewhere or just your garden? Black bag with holes or just a container?

Garden. We have a few trees across the back. Yep. Black bag with holes. A little water if very dry. 6 months they're ready to go.

Leaf mould is a great idea but one caveat: plane tree leaves don’t rot down in that timescale so just be sure you don’t have those.
