The slightly hippy seed company i usually buy from is currently overwhelmed with orders, and the alternative, equally slightly hippy company they suggested has also closed their website for a day or so. I ordered some basic seeds from a more conventional company.

I have seeds left over from last year...so they should be all right. Just need compost as our soil here is very poor.

1¾ hours of digging liberates approx 5'x3' of heavy clay soil.
It’ll be worth it in the end.

It’s full of creeping buttercup and couch grasses. Trying to dig out all the rhizomes is the killer!
Plus it’s still quite wet, so very heavy.
