Very swish AR.
They’re clearing behind our allotment now. I can only presume they’ve been asked to do this by the parish council.
Problem is the shed on our allotment is old and ramshackle, the brambles are pretty much all that’s holding it up.

That's a shame Wob, it might be worth investigating.
If they're young they might not be around for too long, then the brambles will grow back.

Ooops, wtong thread! But... I am all excited because my date helped me plant 6 bare rooted trees!
A sweet chestnut in the foodforest at the back of the orchard, three hornbeams to be shaped. They are on the boundary of my labyrinth herb garden and my neighbouring field, and two lime trees that will be pleached. They are over 3 metres tall already, so I can take the leaders out and pleach the whole frame already. The limes and hornbeams are being restricted to 3 metres high. They form an open windbreak and visual boundary that leads the eye beyond but holds the garden together. I am very very pleased. Alwaya exciting when a garden design comes together. It has been three years in the making and I have done it all without help, from a field! first time I got help, and he was just as excited as me...

That’s nice H. Does he have a view on the protocol of using mini diggers on allotments?

It's nice to have a bit of help sometimes, Hann. It sounds as if your project is almost at fruition, although that type of work never ends since it keeps evolving :-).

Wobbling, I will ask when I next see him sounds a bit drastic what is going on there to say the least!
Flatlander, you are right! But the building bit is nearly over. It being a productive market garden functioning on permaculture principles means that there will aleays be work rhough! I am getting a new greenhouse this winter, that should help with propagating next year's crops

It is fab Garfield! I had to take the building step by step, as I started when I was still ill with Lyme and I also didn't have much money but this year my garden design business has really taken off, so I have been able to invest in plants, largely trees and shrubs
