The famous .303 inch calibre of the Lee Enfield rifle. You really need to hold that thing tightly to your shoulder when you're firing it but the kick is much less than you think when you do.

When I was in cadets we had access to actual .303s from the war. Great weapons, and a wee bit mind-blowing if you stopped to think where they might have been.
