Same here. Obviously having us in the house all day limits uninterrupted sleeping time! Pepper is more vocal than normal and has taken to sleeping on our bed at night.

Jasper cat has settled into a routine of having brekkie and then going to sleep on the boy’s bed until lunch time. Steals food at lunch and then goes to sleep in a flower bed for the afternoon, until tea time. And then heads off back to sleep on the boys bed. Mog cat doesn’t really know if she’s coming or going

Yes, Lennox awake far more than usual. But sleeping Better at night and not getting up at the crack of dawn. She's also enjoying meals at regular intervals... although I went up to my room this afternoon and disturbed her nap... if looks could kill!

Henky only gets out when we're at home, and I've been unemployed since start of the year, so the door has been left for him lots (no cat flap and don't like closing him - too much busy-ness around here), so he's been going out for a while first thing, coming in for a nap, maybe going out late morning/lunchtime, sleeping most of the afternoon and going out for a bit at tea time. Think he is most confused!

Bonnie has very quickly gotten used to having me at home all the time. :-)

We have our routine, she is really chatty, likes to appear on video conferences and wants to be close to me but only in the afternoon when the sun has moved round to the other side of the house.

Bit worried she is going to feel abandoned when I go back to working at the office

Hello! Thoughts on insurance please...

Our new kittens had insurance for the first month free, from the charity we adopted from. Now wondering whether to insure for life or per year. Lenin and Pablo weren't insured; their total vet bills came to about £2000 each I'd guess, including a couple of big hits of £1000 at a time. They had no chronic conditions until their last few months of life or any injuries.

I've only looked into Petplan at the moment but wondering if there are any others you'd recommend? Or whether we just forget about it for now...

I've just got new pet insurance. Changed from Petplan to Direct Line and then to Animal Friends when DL doubled my monthly premium. Often wonder if it is worth insuring Pepper - but when she got bitten on her tail and needed GA etc, it did help cushion the blow.

I didn't need to claim last year so am thinking that if I don't claim this year, I will set up an account for Pepper and put the monthly insurance premium into that instead. (Not sure she'll be able to reach the counter in the bank though if she needs to withdraw the money!! )

Actually just realised I didn't announce their arrival here, only on my blog! Most remiss. I'll find some pics to introduce them.

They were rescued from a garden in April at about 8 weeks old and hadn't had much human contact. The charity worked on socialising them for a while then we adopted them four weeks ago today. In that time they've gone from shrinking away from us and hissing to actively seeking attention, especially tortie Ellie, who was the shyer of the two. They have the loudest purrs you can imagine and Ellie trills a lot. Caspar (tabby and white) is a huge fan of belly cuddles and sleeps upside down with legs akimbo, letting it all hang out.

They've provided much-needed lockdown distraction, especially for teen daughter! Still some work to do on the socialisation front but it's a good start.

New cats!!

I don't have pet insurance (other than 3rd party for the horse in case she causes an accident). I pay money into their own account every month - the same as 1 pet's insurance costs. The animals currently have more money than I do and paid for Christmas last year.
