Sometimes you have to leave them to it. If you’re not there she may just do it anyway!

Meanwhile, I’m havjng an issue with cats. I don’t have one, but many live nearby. There is a lot of cat shit in my garden, which I discovered when planting bulbs. Just lying on the surface, as a calling card. And at least one is piddling in my porch-it took me ages to work out where the damp spot was coming from and put it together with the nasty smell (that I’d thought was coming from the bin store)

The cat repellent granules aren’t working-the last two mornings I’ve chased off next door’s cat and this morning got it with water. (I gave the porch a really good scrub with bleach a week or so ago, which made it smell better temporarily) Tonight there was an obvious puddle and I’ve now gone for a spray on repellent. Next step will be sonic scarers, but daughter wasn’t keen!!

I can’t believe I’ve gone from a cat lover to someone that complains about them!

The sonic scarers do work, but if you've got good hearing you'll hear them too. My parents couldn't hear theirs but we complained whenever we went there!

Is there any truth in using lion poo?

I understand the neighbours being annoyed... I've told all of them that they have free reign to chase Lennox away. Thankfully my immediate neighbour adores her. (And blames the pee on the other cats even though Its Lennox)

Next door's cat is adorable, he's very very fluffy and likes to look in through my kitchen door. We do occasionally let him have a wander around. I like him less at the moment

Lion poo might be ok on my back garden, but not on my front doorstep!

Apparently diluted white vinegar does a better job of neutralising the smell, and so they're less likely to re-offend in the same place.
