Still no sign of da pud but an elderly dead mouse under the sofa made me feel like he was at least with me in spirit. Lots of people have said that their cats were nearby spooked or frightened so I am going out tonight to search with renewed vigour.

Oh Mini! I'd be going frantic. Breezer disappeared for 24 hours over the weekend and I was a mess, out looking every hour. He strolled back in and looked at me as if to say "where's me dinner?" I could have throttled him!

Good luck with your searching tonight. take a look at www.catchat.org/lost.html for tips in searching x

I hope the cat returns soon, MM.

My parents had a cat return after being missing for three weeks. They thought it might have curled up in the back of someone's car and been driven away and done that magical finding-its-way-home thing from the other end of the country. I suspect it's more likely that it went nosing around a neighbour's shed and got shut in until the grass needed mowing again.

Minnie, I hope he turns up soon!

My sister's cat decided to move in with the neighbours round the block... he happily to-timed for at least a year, without either 'owners' noticing, other han the fact that he was getting rather fat... Then the 'other owners' went on holiday and put the cat in a cattery, so my sister thought the cat went missing for three weeks... Then she stood talking in the street with said other 'owner' and the cat wanders past... My sister screams with delight: there is my cat, he's returned :) Only to find that the other woman says: but that is OUR cat, we have just collected him from the cattery after our holiday!
