Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Can anyone recommend somewhere on the internet that lists some medicine ball exercises that *just* use the upper body? Most of the ones I find want you to stand on one leg, do squats, get on the floor; these are not possible for me at the moment. I am struggling to get up and down stairs at the moment and that's plenty of exercise for my currently wonky legs. My medicine ball is 4kg, if that has any bearing. Thanks for any help you can offer. :-)

There are loads of kettle bell exercises online. Could you adapt some of those? Or even just standard dumbbell exercises or a plate weight, could they be adapted?

Sorry that you are struggling with legs.

For upper body using dumbbells, I just do :

bicep curls
overhead press
triceps press
bent over rows

All those would work with a ball?

For core, I do sit ups and planks. You could probably adapt those with a ball e.g.

arms from behind head with ball sit ups
ball on small of back plank

? No expert though. Hopefully someone else will come along who knows? Take care. :-) G

Thanks G 😀 Have been doing a bit of improvising. One day I will get the lid off the pickled onions without assistance.

Got something to say?
