In a way, Tromso isn't remote Scandinavia - it is out on the edge, but it's a port, now with an airport, so many visitors and easy to get to. If we'd had the time on our trip, we'd have driven up from Oslo instead of flying: I imagine that you'd see some remoteness then. Beautiful country all round, would love to go back some day and spend more time looking round.

I booked my flights to Tromso a couple of weeks ago. Return from London via Oslo was about £290. Not particularly cheap but it's a one off.

I`m looking for an overseas event like Bournemouth, Athens etc that has a 10Km (or 5Km), Half & Full marathon events - ideally around Sept / Oct time...any ideas? Thanks
