That man from March
Has anyone run in the Rotterdam marathon. Some of my club mates are looking to go in 2018 and I wondered what it is like.

I ran it 3 years ago. Definite PB potential, very flat but it was flipping boiling that day. Water was at the time in fairly rubbish cups but knowing this you could prepare. Expo not massive. Plenty of decent accommodation. Flights direct from LHR, otherwise easy to fly to Amsterdam and get the train.
It was nice enough, you go through town, out over the bridge through some residential areas, you come back in over the bridge and round a big park.
It's a fun city, obviously not as busy as Amsterdam. Curious Gnome holding an odd shaped erm thing in the square. (Supposed to be Santa holding a candle. Oh really! ). And some guy sings "you'll never walk alone" before the start.

I ran Rotterdam for the second time this year - good marathon cheap & simple logistics, flat fast course if not the most scenic course.
