Athens - Easy Jet flights very cheap and BA (who we flew with) also cheap. I looked the other day - BA were quoting about £140 return. Hotels in Athens very cheap too and easy to get around the city to see the main sites.

I'm going to Tallinn. I've done the maths, and all in, it's working out cheaper than the other thing I would be doing that weekend, which would be GNR.

And that's flying from my local airport, which is KLM to Amsterdam and always comes at a premium compared to Harp or Orange.

How late do you count Autumn? Valencia would be a great choice, also TUI Palma de Mallorca and there's also Maratto de Mediterranee South of Barcelona. Which will all probably feel warmr than an Aberdeenshire summer.

I liked Athens as a City but fond the middle 20 miles of the marathon a bit dull but Like Boston, Comrades & London a box that has to be ticked.

Dee Gee, have you sorted your hotel for Tallin? We went a couple of years ago, had a great time, wonderful old city but the icing on the cake was we opened the curtains on race morning to discover the finishing area had been built over night and was outside our hotel!!

Shortest walk back ever, and then beer and cheering team mates :-)
