Yes, great race. Flat and well organised. Can highly recommend it and Seville is a nice city too.

Great stuff - thank you! Do you know how much it cost, roughly?

30 euros I think. Flew to Malaga and go the train as that suited best time-wise but there are flights to Seville as well. Don't stay near the start as it is a bit out of the way. Hotel Becquer was where we stayed and it was OK.

Doing Amsterdam again in a couple of weeks. It's great and flat and you start and finish in a wonderful 1936 Olympic stadium.

Not knocking Saville as I've never been, but an alternative spring mara at the end of Feb could be Malta? Starts at the highest point on the island and finishes on the sea front with great crowd support. Point to point run but buses will take you from the finish area to the start in good time

Although at Malta you have to run round in circles and may have to wade through floods and run along the tops of walls

The roads were bad when I did Malta a couple of years ago. Put my back out at mile 6. Managed a PB but I would not be hurrying back for the marathon. The island itself was good. Seville is in a different class as a race.

I'm in for Barcelona in March. Anybody going or done it before?
