Marathon du Yorkshire - there will Yorkshire Beer, Yorkshire Pork Pies, Yorkshire Crisps - oh and the small business of running 26.2 miles through God's own county.
I really never thought it would be so tough. The boggy section after the split at 7 miles really took it out of me. Phoned my missus straight after the race and told her to shoot me if she saw me entering it again next year but now after a few days recovery I am cosidering it again!
@richmcleod - I'm sorry to say I was looking for your result too far down the list and took a while to find you 'up there'. Really well done.
My sneaky plan to lock onto Chromey looks well daft now!
After looking at the results, I realise I had left garmin on auto-pause, which is handy during club training when there can be a bit of standing around, but useless for an actual event when checkpoint stoppage and going off course counts! So worse than I realised on Sunday, bugger it! Can't quite believe i spent 9 min out there doing bugger all.
Come and help a few of us celebrate significant birthdays ... there will be beer ... there will be pork pies .... and to get you in the mood watch this
