Yes, I thought it was cheaper originally FergusG Quite a hike in price. A friend recommended it to me but I will ask the question here. Is it a good race, flat and fast on par with London? Well organised? I don't mind paying if you get your moneys worth. It is still a case of first come first served Bowman πΈπͺ so need to act quickly when the email arrives π |

Itβs publicised as a flat route, although itβs not pancake-flat. I found the organisation was smooth, even with the introduction of a staggered start, and thereβs none of the mad crowding/tripping-hazzard that youβll encounter around the likes of Cutty Sark. 2023 Route: fetcheveryone.com/route-1858517 |

Thanks FergusG that is all very reassuring. I have a GFA for London next year (19 mins under so should be okay) but would like to do another before then. I just need to beat the rush now !! |

Solo, someone said it's just a marketing thing, and that it's never been full apparently. I kinda get put off when they try to invoke some kind of scarcity effect on me.. ![]() Just for that i might wait, or do the CPH Marathon. ![]() Also it look pretty hilly, 200+m of ascent is not flat, i need flat ![]() |

Haha you rebel Bowman πΈπͺ π I like a bit of variation on a course and because it is not totally flat doesn't make it not fast but I do know some people like flat best!. It also falls quite nicely with my race calendar which is another reason I will probably try and get a place. |

As above, it's not pancake flat and in fact gained a few metres of elevation over the last few years with a change in route. It also gained about 140m in length last year due to a small detour which may or may not be corrected this year (we can hope). Nevertheless it's definitely on the flat and fast side as these things go. Also a good size of field, plenty of people to run with at all paces. The wave start seems to work well and means you get a clear run right from the start. |

Always a rebel Solo ![]() Im intrigued for sure, just to go to fetchland and maybe meet a few fetchies in real life would be worth it actually. ![]() And yes a bit undulating or rolling might be nice as a break in the stride. But one of my autumn marathons was 287m of ascent, and that was properly hilly. I guess you never really know before running the race, how those hills are distributed or feels in real life though. S.O wants to go to Manchester, and she is always so supportive. Why not let her be the deciding factor ![]() |
