Mrs B, Boston is my favourite marathon, the whole history of the event, the inspirational seminars over the weekend with marathon hero's, the race itself and the way the city just embraces the marathon fever. I hope to go back again one day.

I love Boston anyway. We used to have an apartment on Boylston (in fact the second bomb went off just outside our building) but I wasn't a runner in those days. Looking forward to going back and just soaking it all up! Not sure about Heartbreak Hill!

I may have been rejected, and I may well be in Singapore for VLM ! - but if I'm not, I shall be dispensing hugs and gin at mile 22 as usual
