I got a handful of NB popsockets at the expo. I completely failed to work it out what they're for. The internet says its a finger grip for your phone so you can take selfies without unintentional juggling. Who would have thought it?

They suggest turning up an hour before the start zone opens. Is that good advice or too much hanging around?

Have a look at the weather tomorrow a.m. 8-10 deg C before start and a breezy SW wind.

There *are* marquees but I think most are within the competitors' areas.

I've usually planned to get there at least an hour before the off. It's easy to fritter it away queuing for the loo, packing your drop bag, re-tying your shoe laces, etc.

A dispensable old cardi is essential for the last 20 minutes when your bag is on the van and you're still hanging about in the cold.

^^^ or bin bags - they might be easier to procure at this stage for those who’ve already travelled.
