Apologies, I read that wrong. He is talking Giro/ Vuelta.
Still can't see that happening because of Sky and marketing though.

Wiggins is done with GTs, in fact there's talk of him leading a Sky development team after Paris Roubiax.
Of course a Tour spot could change things, but is likely to interfere with his Rio 16 prep.
Porte is the likely leader, unless Roche shows form.

I read it as Froome not doing Tour. He's decided pretty quickly, almost as if he'd already made up his mind... If Froome doesn't do Le Tour then who leads for Sky? Can't see Brad doing it especially with the lack of TT.

If Sky want Froome to do the Tour, he will do it.

I just can't imagine Sky being just accepting that they won't win the Tour when they have a rider that's capable. Their whole program has been built round the Tour.

Though if this early on Froome is making noises that he doesn't believe he can win, it's got to make it hard for him and his team to go into it with the right attitude, and equally be a psychological boon for his competitors.
Unless they're playing a weird game, it wouldn't seem very Brailsford to commit with an unconvinced team leader. He may look for someone without quite the pedigree but possibly more enthusiasm.

Cobbles baby. Hopefully off to see them again after a recce at Paris-Roubaix in April. Better weather please for 2015. Shivering on a camping seat under an umbrella at the end of Hornaing for 4 hours this year with my sons will hopefully not be repeated and we can take our bikes. Good route,
Froome will do as he's told, of course.

And won't win.
Hmm will Sky risk that? A win in the Giro or Vuelta vs a 3rd or 4th in Le Tour?

So who else do they have? Nieve, good in the hills but unproven as a leader, yet. G, possibly but P-N last year did not work out when he was the leader but worth another test in 2015 but without a decent length TT unlikely. Porte, always has a "Jour sans" Koening-maybe with a committed team to looik after him, actually this might be a good prospect. Froome, proven leader, good climber, need the TT but is a previous winner of this and other good races. Where does that leave us if you were paying someone a salary of $millions with expectations.
