I'm hoping this weather won't be repeated on race day this year. 2014 was hard work.

Agree Dave.
A few degrees cooler would be preferable.

I've got my eye on doing Lakeland 50 next year but as it's in July the temperature does worry me. I tend to flag in the heat. So I'd be with flanker, colder the better.

You would ace the Lakeland 50, Mrs S. Not a problem, whatever the weather.

Aw you're very sweet Fenners, thank you, but I ran 10 hilly miles with my son this morning and I was a sweaty mess!

For the 50 you have 24-hours, not that you would need it.

Hi everyone.... I am an experienced runner, getting addicted to ultras. I've done a few now, including a couple of 100km races, but nothing in the mountains or hilly.... basically, I am aiming for Lakeland 100 at some point in the next couple of years, and I can see in the entry requirements that I need to do the Lakeland 50 .. so that's fine, I can do that in 2018.... but then the entry says also some other races as well in the mountains between 60 to 100 miles... am I reading this correctly, and if so what races do people recommend? Cheers...
