Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I saw a dog with a headtorch on the other day. On a well lit street. The owner was headtorchless and the dog was nowhere near him. Just putting that out there.

Our alpkit gamma survived when our LEDLenser failed in the downpour at the end of the Lakeland 50 this year.

I do. But I possibly got distracted by Chihuahua Bitch (owner, not dog). I'm watching her and I've got her scared. This woman dresses her 'dog' in a stripey jumper and put a fairy lights collar on it. And she puts its poo in our bin. I live in a fucking circus. Srs.

Sorry for hijack. I'll go now.

At the cheap end it is hard to best the Alpkit Gamma. In fact a lot of their kit is great :-)

At the other end I swear by this spark-light.com
180 lumens for 10 hours, or enough to run all night in the worst of conditions using a 26650 battery. Also a fraction of the cost of other expensive headlamps.
