Yes, your ass will be at least as perky as mine.
Consistency might be the answer, but usually this just fades over a month or two as long as you don't keep running on it and then slowly build again.

Are you sure of the diagnosis?

The big daddy of foam rollers is the rumble roller, that really hurts me when the foam roller barely touches the spot

Mine barely hurts now. It doesn't feel right for it not to hurt.

Been to 3 physios. The most convincing one said ITB and the symptoms fit what I have read on ITB. Pain round outside of knee but also up at hip occasionally. I hardly ran for 18 months Johnny and it still isn't fixed :( Am giving up hope!

hellen - I hate and love the foam roller. My son thinks I'm nuts when I'm stretching and rollering - lots of groaning :-o

:-/ Difficult to know what to advise, 18 months is a long time.

At some point pain can become chronic, and not related to actual injury- but you can't assume that is the case.

Yes

Usually both ITBs are injured but usually only the worst is felt -

Johnny is right - Your ITB isgetting stretched when you whit the ground - High impact, High leverage and big loads are the commona causes

Core strengthening improves the resilience of the ITB as Johnny says or you could try to reduce the load

This is done by reduceing leverage and impact

Who are you calling a big load? :p OK not sure how I reduce leverage and impact - does that mean I need to change my running style? I must try harder to work on my core strength.
