Beware Kanadias are very narrow, not good if you have giant clown feet like me

Kanadias are good, but you get what you pay for. What about some Mizuno Ascend 6? They are around £50-60 (or less if you hunt around). Better grip, more tolerable on hard pack and road. Best value isn't always the cheapest. Just a thought..

Hmmm, I think I'll be OK. I'm size 11.5/12 but don't have particularly wide feet, just long. Will check out the returns policy of whoever I get these from though, just to be safe.

I can't afford that mbln. Most of my races and training runs are on the road. Just that Park Runs recently where I am are very muddy and I'm struggling for grip. Seemed prudent to get something that doesn't gave me worrying I'm going to slip and injure something.

Or, for that money, you could actually look at getting some REAL trail shoes ![]() Unbelievably: Inov-8 Roclites for under £30! planetfear.com gooutdoors.co.uk (For an extra tenner, the Roclite 295 is a good all rounder gooutdoors.co.uk - but maybe a bit wide for you, I don't know...) |

Are the inov-8 Roclites good then? I see the "was £120 now £30" but I have no idea about the name etc.

Actually don't worry about it. Both the go outdoors links don't have stock anywhere near me, and the fear one has the wrong sizes. Looks like a bargin for anyone up north though! |

Depends on how far you're going to run in the shoes, I've completed the Lakeland 50 twice wearing kanadia's and my feet were wrecked. Shorter races, sub-20 miles you'll be fine. For longer distance I recently picked up some Mizuno Ascend's and they seem to be far better for long stuff. Can't go wrong with Roclite's either.
